Art 10
Starting January 16 at 9:30 am students of Next Step Fort Saskatchewan will have the opportunity to take Art 10. Weekly classes will be held, where students can earn up to five credits in Art. If you are interested contact the Fort Saskatchewan campus.
PE Field Trips
As part of Next Step's Physical Education program, we provide opportunities for students to participate in various physical activities to assist them in satisfying the requirements for PE 10 and to encourage lifelong commitment to fitness and health. We encourage all students to join us and to challenge themselves to try something new! These planned trips cost only $2 and spaces are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Priority is given to PE 10 students but others may join if space is available.
Participate in a variety of activities, such as bowling, rock-climbing, curling, snowshoeing, tobogganing, floor hockey and vertical wall climbing. Come out and join the fun!
Career Information
Our Career Information Sessions include speakers from various careers and career agencies. Last year we welcomed a local hairstylist, a policewoman and a public health nurse, among others. Rob and Paul from Careers Next Generation spoke to our students about RAP, the Health Initiative and Work Experience. Charlotte and Amy presented information on services provided by Careers Under Construction and on summer student job postings.
