Next Step High School
The Senior High Program is offered at our Sherwood Park, Fort Saskatchewan, Lamont and Vegreville locations. We follow the Alberta curriculum for senior high students. Alberta Education
We offer a large variety of courses that students can work on independently with teacher assistance. Students are expected to complete work by scheduled dates and have the opportunity to consult with staff to set timelines based on individual needs and circumstances.
Course work is marked by Next Step teachers. We are available to help students with their school work and to discuss other concerns students may have. We encourage high school students to attend school as often as possible.
Students who experience the most success at Next Step are those who have self-discipline. We believe that students are responsible for their own learning. It is our job to assist students to achieve their goals.
Registration
All new full time students must complete an application form, registration package and orientation.
Students currently registered at another school should have proof of approval for registration from a counsellor or administrator at their school. This approval can be in the form of a telephone call, email or written permission.
