Fort Saskatchewan Next Step High School

Fort Saskatchewan Next Step is a supportive, alternative high school for students who desire a non-traditional, individualized program. We serve many types of students, including: full-time high school students, part-time students who need flexible schedules, students who want to pick-up extra courses and graduated students who want to upgrade their marks.  To be eligible for entrance, students must be under 20 years of age on September 1 of the current school year. We also accept mature students on a different course and fee structure.

Please Note

Students must present identification that includes their signature and photograph. One of the following documents is acceptable: Driver's license, Passport or Chinook Photo ID Card.

All students are provided with up to double the official time as noted above, if they require it. All Diploma Exams are in English only.

Students must review Alberta Education Writing Diploma Exams for guides, exemplars, rules, and other information to help students prepare for Grade 12 diploma exams.

The Fort Saskatchewan Next Step is open M,T, Th, F from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM; W from 8:30 to 1:00 PM

If you are at a neighbouring EIPS high school and want to take a course you will need permission from your current school to come, so please check in with your Principal, Assistant Principal or Counselor before coming.

If you want to be a FULL TIME student at the outreach and are under 18 we will need a parent signature, so bring a parent or guardian.

If you are over 18 you can sign your own forms!
