Grad Information

Save the Date!

Sherwood Park Outreach

Our graduation date is Friday, June 18th.

Students who graduate will book a time to come to the school for their own personal, mini-graduation. You will be allowed to invite those people most important to you, though the number will be limited based on restrictions at the time. You will receive a certificate and a gift from the school, presented to you by the school principal and assistant principals. You will have the opportunity to wear a grad gown and hat if you like, and you can get as dressed up as you would like. Further details will be released as they are available, but you can go ahead and mark your calendars!

Grad Photos

Graduation Photos will be on May 10th and 17th in the evening. Photos will be taken outside and you are free to dress as casual or formal as you would like.

Your grad gown (the long black one) will be assigned to you and you will be given a grad hat. What this means is that you can choose to come here for photos, or you can take the gown and hat and do photos anywhere you would like, with whoever you like. The hat will be yours to keep and you will hold on to the grad gown and return it on the day of the ceremony.

Sherwood Park students - contact Amanda Gillingwater to book your grad photos.

Do You Need a Gown or Suit for Graduation?

You want to look your best and we want to make sure that can happen! That’s why Next Step partners with Cinderella’s Closet and the Jason Gregor Foundation to ensure that all students have the opportunity to get formal grad wear.

Sherwood Park students who are interested in this opportunity should contact Amanda Gillingwater as soon as possible

Grad Slideshow

Later this spring, graduating students will be asked to submit 3 photos (one baby, one childhood, and one grad/recent) as well as a thank you note (a chance for you to give a shout out to the people who have helped you graduate). The grad slideshow will then be posted online on the day of grad.
