NSO News April 28-May 10
Hey all, hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! Check out the latest NSO News April 28-May 10
Monday, April 28 is Instructional day #51 of 84 or 61% through semester 2. As we step into the final stretch of the school year, we are reminded of the power of perseverance. As the saying goes, "Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out." Every small step your child takes is leading to remarkable growth — and we are proud to walk alongside them on this journey.
A few important reminders for the weeks ahead:
- Please continue to remind students they need to be routinely checking in with teachers. As we are now over 60% of the way through students not engaging will be removed from classes and rescheduled for the fall.
- School Advisory Council Meeting – Our final meeting of the year is coming up on Tuesday, April 29. We encourage all families to join us in-person or virtually as we celebrate this year's successes and look ahead to future goals. Your voice makes a difference!
- No School for Students on Friday, May 2 – Our staff will be engaged in a Professional Learning Day, working together to review and strengthen our School Education Plan for 2025-26. This planning ensures we continue to meet the needs of every learner with excellence.
As always, thank you for your ongoing support. Together, with each small step, we are making incredible strides. -Principal Mr. B. Spady, Assistant Principal's Mrs. D. Bennett & Mrs. K. Porter
Parking at Sherwood Park Campus- Please follow all designated parking signs at the front of the school and at Festival Place. These lots are patrolled by Strathcona County Bylaw Enforcement, and you could be subject to a ticket if parked illegally. Students/guests are welcome to park in the front of the school and in Festival Place during the school day. At times, Festival Place will be closed to students during the dance festival season. We strive to communicate these changes as they arise. As responsible drivers, the onus is up to you to drive and park responsibly. Additionally, on April 28 Salisbury Composite High will be a Federal Election Polling station. As such, parking will be limited throughout the day and there will be increased foot traffic around the facility. Your cooperation is appreciated!
